Sylhet M.A.G. Osmani Medical College Alumni Association, North America (SOMCAANA) was established in 2003 to re-affirm the bond between the college and its former students and take it to newer heights.

SOMCAANA members pay frequent visits to the college as guest speakers and help introduce technological and other advancements in modern medicine. They continue to provide active support through seminers, workshops, merit awards and the likes.

Since its inception, SOMCAANA members gather every other year in New York, thousands of miles away from the campus to celebrate the love and passion to the college that made them who they are now.
